…One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple…(Ps 27:4)
…Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself as the chief cornerstone. In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit (Ephesians 2:19-22).
Thank You Lord for this temple of Yours. That we as a gathering of Your saints, Your holy ones, have become this temple that You are building with Your living stones. In this temple we get to gaze upon Your beauty in one another and as You move about among us. We seek You in this glorious temple that You are building not with human hands but with Your Spirit. We, like Your servant David, desire to seek You and find You in this temple of living stones. Here we come to gather in Your Name and find You there, to be most breathtakingly beautiful.
